I wish that guests could select multiple of the optional Add-On Items. We currently sell Firewood Bundles, and as it is right now, guests can simply choose to add the bundle or not, but for guests with a longer stay we wish we could give them the ability to input an order for multiple bundles instead of just one.
Glad I searched the forum first to see if somebody else had requested this, so I didn't accidentally duplicate the request.
Essentially optional add-ons/surcharges (with regards to direct bookings) are calculated by either - Fixed amount - Or by percentage of total or subtotal - Then by per stay or night - Then multiplied by the number of guests/pets etc.
It would be useful to also have the option of letting the guest select the qty of add-ons/surcharges they require on the booking form.
Just like the firewood example above, there are many optional extras owners may want to offer which don't fit in to the current format.
For example, we also have a boat for hire, which we charge out daily. However if guests are staying for say 2 weeks for example, they may only require the boat for 5 days of that stay.
Or we want to offer, say - beauty treatments, theme park tickets, airport transfers, welcome hampers, extra BBQ gas... whatever... Sometimes not everybody in a booking party requires these additional optional add-ons. So be would be very handy to be able to offer an optional add-on, then let the guests choose the qty of that item they require. presumably via a drop down box on the booking form.
Upvoting this feature request. In addition to the examples above, we have baby sitters and guides that have fixed hourly rates, but no way to specify how many hours they were used for.
In case it's helpful, here's how I see it working. In the screen shot below, add "Per Quantity" to the Per Stay and Per Night radio button options. Then, wherever there is UI to add the surcharge, offer a number picker or number entry field to capture how many to add. The existing Multiplier picker still has value as, for example, I may want to charge by the quantity of pets or I may want to charge for the quantity of extra meals for adults vs. kids.

Why not be able to include the "Add-Ons" during the RA acceptance process for OTAs. We are collecting all the contact info there and billing info, we could ask there if they wanted to add extra firewood etc. Seems like a logical place for it, so we can upsell those add-ons for OTA bookings.
Yeah also would like to see upselling ability during the RA sign
We are leaving money on the table by not having this option... AND the upsells would sure help us justify any OR price increases if it generates revenue not captured today!
