It would be so awesome if OwnerRez allowed same-day bookings but up until a designated time. For example, we would love to allow same-day bookings until 4:00pm (our check-in time). We like to be able to double check our units before guests arrive ~ which we can't do if they book late at night. We don't want to block same-day bookings altogether, but it would be so great to allow them earlier in the day and not late at night.
Another side of that is also when people book at say 2:00am, expecting to get in right away. But since it's a new day, check-in isn't until the afternoon.
Same-day bookings are tricky. It would just be great if there was a way to allow same-day bookings within a designated time frame.
100% agree! Same day bookings are great but not with no time limit. 11 pm? Nope. This would be a VERY easy thing for OR to do.
If you it is added please make it sync with AirBnB so we don't have to manage the times in 2 different places
Are you using the booking window time limit in the Airbnb API? It does sync to Airbnb.
Where is this located under properties?
This is an Airbnb API setting. You can create the global account setting via Settings > API > Airbnb > Change and scroll to the bottom. You can override for a particular property via Properties > Select Property > Channel Rules > Edit
Yes, I definitely agree! You can set the booking cut-off time in Airbnb, but it does not allow you in OwnerRez. So that means you cannot have a booking cut-off time for your direct channels. This has caused some of our hosts to have guests checking in at around midnight when they book either directly or through VRBO. In VRBO it does not allow you to set a same day booking cut off time as well. I think this would be a very important and valuable feature to have
Vrbo historically has not allowed same-day bookings at all.
Vrbo historically has not allowed same-day bookings at all.
Indeed. It's understandable as same-day bookings have higher risk (higher rates of fraud, higher risk of parties, higher risk of owner not realizing a booking came in and not having the property ready or sending access info, etc.), but interestingly, Vrbo does not have a way to get around this even internally--if a guest calls Vrbo with a problem and Vrbo needs to relocate them same-day, even a senior Vrbo customer service agent cannot rebook them at another listing same-day. The only option is to relocate the guest to a hotel (Vrbo does have access to Expedia hotel inventory, which they use when relocating guests).
(Not really on-topic for this thread, but it's an interesting observation.)
